CHILDREN'S HOME (BOYS)

In July 2010, our Association established a Juvenile Home (Boys) within its campus. The home operates in compliance with the – The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. of West Bengal to fulfill prime objectives for the best interest of vulnerable children to restore in to family rehabilitation, health and hygienic development, cultural upliftment, counseling, education and behavioral change and promote to mainstreaming in the society.

The home has the capacity to accommodate fifty “Children in Need of Care and Protection” (CNCP) -(boys) children. In the FY 2025-26 CNCP boys newly admitted 153 nos. and family restored 146 nos. and CARA eligible couple adopted 04 children.

OBSERVATION HOME (BOYS):

In July 2010, our Association established a Juvenile Home (Boys) within its campus. The home operates in compliance with the – The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Govt. of West Bengal to exercise correctional service upon conflict with law children to stop crime free juvenile India as well as mainstreaming and abolish stigma.

The home has a capacity to accommodate fifty “Children in Conflict with Law” (CCLs) – boys Children. In the FY 2025-26 CCL boys newly forwarded by the Judicial authority 78 nos. and released from our Home 82 nos. according to the release order of competent authority.

Vocational Training program

Vocational Training programs held on at Association own premises and that focus on teaching individuals’ specific skills, trades, or occupations. The goal of vocational training is to equip individuals with practical skills and knowledge that enable them to become self-sufficient and employable in their chosen field.

Earth Day Celebration

The Earth Day Celebration 2025 on “Our Power, Our Planet” was organized on 22nd April 2025 at M.G. Memorial School at Aspirational block Salboni, Paschim Medinipur aided by Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India with the aim of creating awareness among students regarding environmental protection and sustainable living. The programme focused on educating young minds about the importance of conserving natural resources, reducing pollution, and maintaining ecological balance. Various activities for awareness were conducted as part of the celebration, which encouraged students to actively participate and express their ideas on environmental conservation. The event provided a platform for students to understand their role in protecting the environment and adopting eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. Overall, the programme was successful in fostering environmental consciousness and instilling a sense of responsibility among the students towards building a greener and healthier future.

CSR Initiative By LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation

Mobile Medical Van, donated by LIC Golden Jubilee Foundation under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative to Chak Kumar Association for Social Service (CASS). The CSR initiative marked a significant step towards improving access to basic healthcare services, especially for underserved and remote communities.

The Mobile Medical Van is equipped to provide essential medical facilities, health check-ups, and primary care services at the doorstep of beneficiaries. This initiative aims to bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility and ensure timely medical support for those in need.

The Mobile Medical Van is included with regular Multi Service Mobile Medical Unit programme for Tribes in Debra ITDP block area. The CSR initiative highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting community health and well-being. It was conducted successfully and is expected to have a lasting positive impact by extending healthcare services to vulnerable sections of society.

Continuing Rehabilitation Education Programme (CRE):

State level three-days Offline Continuing Rehabilitation Education (CRE) Programme from 22nd December to 24th December 2025, with the participation of 50 RCI registered individuals from the Education, social work and rehabilitation successfully completed upgradation training for obtaining CRE points for their renewal of registration.  The programme was conducted by the Association with the experts from the relevant field and after online verification about learning method, arrangement and facilities and due satisfaction the RCI authority input highest CRE points to the participants and renewed individual registration.   

Various important topics, including child welfare, mental health awareness, rehabilitation practices, and relevant legal frameworks, were discussed in detail. The sessions were designed to be participatory, encouraging group discussions, experience sharing, and practical insights into field-level challenges and solutions.

Transgender Sensitization Programme

A Sensitization Programme for Transgender was organized by Chak Kumar Association for Social Service (CASS) on 3rd February 2026, with the participation of 30 Transgenders. The programme aimed to create awareness and promote understanding about their rights, challenges, and social inclusion of transgender persons.

The Learned Secretary, DLSA, PO(NIC), DCPU, General Secretary CASS, Paschim Medinipure were present at the programme to encourage and discussed on key issues such as gender identity, discrimination, legal rights, Socialization, rehabilitation, economic empowerment through skill upgradation and the importance of creating an inclusive and respectful environment for the transgender community. Participants were encouraged to engage in discussions and reflect on their roles in promoting equality and dignity for all.

The programme was conducted successfully with active participation, and it served as an important step towards fostering sensitivity, awareness, and inclusive attitudes within the community. A detailed report was prepared by the Learned Secretary, DLSA, Paschim Medinipur for further communication to the highest authority.

Sensitization And Awareness Campaign For Welfare Of Senior Citizen

Chak Kumar Association for Social Service (CASS) organized a Sensitization and Awareness Campaign for the welfare of senior citizens on 14th March 2026, with the participation of 115 elder persons with the support of Social Welfare Section Paschim Medinipur, Collectorate Office, Govt. of West Bengal. The programme aimed to raise awareness about the rights, needs, and well-being of elderly persons, while promoting respect, care, and social inclusion.

Various important aspects such as health care, emotional support, legal rights, and government welfare schemes for senior citizens were discussed during the session. The campaign also emphasized the role of families and communities in ensuring a dignified and secure life for the elderly.

The programme witnessed active participation and interaction, making it an effective platform for spreading awareness and fostering a sense of responsibility towards senior citizens. Overall, the campaign was conducted successfully and received positive response from the participants

Blanket Distribution Programme

An Aged Care Programme of Blanket Distribution was organized by Chak Kumar Association for Social Service (CASS) at its Conference Hall on 25th December 2025. The programme aimed to provide support and comfort to elderly persons, particularly those in need during the winter season.

Blankets were distributed among senior citizens as a gesture of care and social responsibility, ensuring their protection from the cold. The initiative also focused on promoting dignity, compassion, and community support for the aged population.

 The programme witnessed smooth execution and meaningful participation, creating a sense of warmth and belonging among the beneficiaries. Overall, the initiative was successfully conducted and reflected the organization’s commitment towards the welfare and well-being of senior citizens.

Library

The BIMAL BIJALI SMRITI PATHAGAR our association’s library, has been serving its members and the community. With a collection of over 2,500 books, the library offers a valuable resource for those seeking knowledge and entertainment.

In a significant development, the Library Department of the Government of West Bengal has provided a grant-in-aid to our library, enabling us to expand our collection and promote reading habits among local youth and the community.

National Cultural Integration Programme Under The Commemoraton Of 150th Birth Anniversary Of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel:

The Chak Kumar Association for Social Service (CASS) successfully organized a cultural initiative programme under the Centenary and Anniversary Scheme of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, commemorating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The programme was conducted from 25th January 2026 to 27th January 2026 with active participation from youth, students, women, and members of the local community.

The primary objective of the programme was to honor and remember the life, ideals, and contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a great national leader known for his role in nation-building and social unity. The initiative aimed to create awareness among the public, especially the younger generation, about his vision of a united and strong India.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic involvement from participants, making it a vibrant and meaningful celebration. It also served as a platform to promote values of unity, leadership, and social responsibility inspired by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s life and work. Overall, the programme was conducted successfully and achieved its objectives, receiving positive response and appreciation from participants and the community.

Mobile Repairing Training Programme

 The Mobile Repairing Training Program was organized with the objective of promoting self- employment and economic development among young artisans, sanctioned order No. WB/SO/KVIC/SI/2025-26 dtd. 27.01.2026 of Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) under Gramudyog Vikash yojana for the year 2025-26. Such training programs play an important role in empowering rural youth and artisans by enhancing their skills and creating livelihood opportunities, thereby contributing to the economic development and self- reliance of the community.

Ultimate Achievement:

The Mobile Repairing Training Program was successfully completed with active participation from all trainees. Through this program, the participants gained basic knowledge and practical skills in mobile phone repairing and maintenance.. After completion of training all trainees got certificate of Honors from the State Director KVIC and eligible for register with MSME Udyam, bank linkage under Mudra Lone. Our Association is in close contact with all the beneficiaries for completion of aforesaid criteria’s and fulfill their goal and achievement.

Multi Service Mobile Medical Unit For Tribes

A Multi-Service Mobile Unit for Tribal community and PVTGs are an innovative approach to deliver essential services to remote and underserved tribal communities. We conducted this medical service at Chak Kumar, Simana, Kotai, Paschim Lahana, Digbarasati, Jhikuria, Serpur, Chakmanu, Palashi, Kantapal, Hijalda, Abdalipur, Antala, Khamra, Rampura Tribal oriented villages in Debra ITDP Block in Paschim Medinipur district. This programme approved by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Govt. of India.

Objective

To provide accessible and comprehensive services to tribal populations for door step service for healthcare and abolish superstitious, orthodox and social evils.

Services

We provided – health check-ups, basic medical treatments and awareness sessions on health & hygiene and nutrition Counseling with qualified Medical Officer, Staff Nurse and other workers since 2017 after due enquiry and satisfaction the LIC Golden Jubilee foundation recognized our service and provided Mobile Medical Van under their CSR initiative for more effective and render service throughout Debra ITDP Block area.

Major disease identified in these campaign – Thyroid, Sugar, Cholera, Skin disease, Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomachache etc. and treated in door step service camp and satisfactory result gain popularity among the targeted community.  In the FY 2025-26, 8897 tribal patients have directly got benefit under the programme.

Family Counselling Centre (Fcc):

The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (PWDVA)’ is a landmark legislation in India aimed at protecting women from domestic violence. It’s one of the important services is a ‘Family Counselling Centre (FCC)’. It is continuing at Kushpata at Ghatal Sub-Divisional and Chak Kumar at Debra block area under Paschim Medinipur district since 2022 as registered service provider under DV Act, 2005.

It’s facility that provides professional guidance, support, and therapy to individuals, couples, and families experiencing emotional, psychological, or relationship challenges. Its objectives are to empower individuals and families, promote healthy relationship, address mental health concern and provide emotional support.

Road Safety Awareness Campaign And Volanteering Suppourt For Road Traffic

Road Safety Week Programme was held from 19th Nov. 2025 –26th Nov. 2025 at Debra and Balichak crossing point on NH-16 and SE Railway respectively. Twenty youths actively participated in this. Programme along with NSS unit of Debra Thana Shahid Kshudiram Smriti Mahavidyalaya to aware common people to use Helmet while bike riding and obey the traffic rules. Traffic Police of Debra Police Station were extended technical support for campaign and volunteering support for road Traffic and trained the participated volunteers. NSS unit student of Debra College were participated in the programme. Successful motivation upon the common people also was made in the programme

Drug De-Addiction Programme (Ddap):

Breaking free from the chains of drug addiction is a transformative journey towards reclaiming one’s life and well-being. Our drug deaddiction program offers a compassionate and evidence-based approach, guiding individuals towards lasting recovery.

Nesha Mukta Bharat Abhiyaan

The Association conducted an Awareness Programme on Drug Abuse (Nesha Mukta Bharat Abhiyaan) held on 28th April 2025, Govt. ITI College, Debra and on 29th April, 2025 at Balichak Bhajahari Institution, Balichak, Paschim Medinipur, under the financial support of National Institution of Social Defence (NISD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.

Objective

The “Nesha Mukta Bharat Abhiyaan” is a comprehensive nationwide initiative aimed at creating a drug-free India. The campaign focuses on raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and preventing drug addiction among youth and vulnerable child as well as community members.

The program began with an inaugural speech by Mr. Tridib Das Bera, General Secretary, Chak Kumar Association for Social Service (CASS), Debra, Paschim Medinipur and highlighting the importance of addressing drug narcotic abuse in our society.

Disability Day Program: Empowering Lives with Assistive Devices

On 3rdDecember, 2025, our Association organized a Disability Day program at Jhargram campus, distributing prosthetic aids such as tricycles, wheelchairs, and crutches to 74 individuals with disabilities. The event was graced by the Savadhipati of Jhargram Zilla Parishad, who handed over the assistive devices to the beneficiaries.

 

This initiative aimed to enhance mobility and independence among persons with disabilities, improving their overall quality of life.
