A few enlightened & energetic youths have been formed a benevolent organization for dedicating themselves to rural development, rural reconstruction, welfare service, promotion of economic empowerment of downtrodden people,personality development of youths, upliftment of under privileged community and women, vulnerable children to strengthen development attitude up to the mark of sustainability through participatory process and established Chakkumar Association for Social Service (CASS) on 1st April 1994. In the lead of the benevolent work the organization started an unregistered body and in the year 1996 the Organization has been managed its charity registration under West Bengal Societies Registration Act. and reformed its nature as an Non Governmental Voluntary Organization for dedicated support to under privilege, vulnerable community, children in different circumstances, women, youths, aged people, differently able, transgender, young generation, tribal community and backward community etc. to recognize their challenges in daily life and accompanied them to motivate for action and raised collective voice against the social evils, poverty and established their rights. Strategies were taken to Co-ordinate villagelevel youth clubs and direct work in the remote areas giving enthusiasm to young members with proper training and extensive services for upliftment of downtrodden people, under privilege, vulnerable and tribal community.
