He holds degree an Undergraduate in Anthropology, Bachelor of Physical Education, and a Masters in Social Work. His academic foundation has enabled him to combine knowledge of social sciences, physical education, and professional social work in addressing diverse community and developmental issues.
He has over 30 years of professional experience across government and institutional sectors. He worked for 10 years in the CB DOTS Programme under the RNTCP in the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, and for 15 years as a trainer with the Panchayati Raj Institutions of the same department. He also served in the Department of Information and Culture, Government of West Bengal, and has 30 years of experience as a master trainer in youth leadership, road safety advocacy, and sustainable youth development with NYKS, Government of India. In addition, he taught at Hamilton High School, Purba Medinipur, and served as a Member (Judge) of the Juvenile Justice Board, Purba Medinipur, Government of West Bengal, from 2008 to 2019.
